Continuing its mission to bring high-level training opportunities to the South Florida creative community, This Is Improv recently hosted acclaimed comedy writer and improviser Rich Talarico for two immersive workshops: a Long Form Improv Intensive and a Comedy Writing Crash Course.
Known for his extensive work with The Second City and his contributions to comedy writing and performance education, Rich Talarico brought industry-level insight and experience to performers, writers, and artists seeking to deepen their craft through focused, professional training.
Professional-Level Improv Training
The Long Form Improv Intensive focused on advanced ensemble collaboration, storytelling structure, and techniques that support sustained improvisational performance. Participants explored tools designed to strengthen listening skills, character development, and group dynamics — essential components of long-form improvisation.
