SKETCH 301

Service Description

SKETCH 301 will have students work together to write an original sketch show. Students will be held to weekly deadlines to generate material to be featured in the show. Students will experience generating material collaboratively with others. Students will be expected to devote time to writing and rewriting material outside of class. Students will also get the experience of rehearsing, blocking, and producing sketches for the stage. What is worked on during SKETCH 301 will result in the performance of a sketch show. Students must bring a sketch to the FIRST session of class. This sketch should be written for the stage and no longer than four pages. ------ Learning Outcomes: Develop Show Material: Students will learn how to generate an idea for a performed show. Collaboration: Students will learn collaboration with cast and other writers to produce a final concept. Production: Students will learn to produce an engaging show. ------ This Class Includes: 7 Classes (excluding federal holidays); 3 Hours Each Showcase your work during the Improv Jam! ------ Ages 18 or Older Prerequisites: SKETCH 201 All Course Sales are Final - No Refunds.
