SKETCH 201

Service Description

SKETCH 201 builds on the foundations of SKETCH 101 while helping you find your comedic voice as a writer. Specifically, students will explore how to write for their cast, explore point of view, and variety in scene development for a show. In every class, you will have the opportunity to pitch ideas and collaborate with other students on class assignments. You will also get to refine individual scenes through rewriting. Students must bring 4-6 sketch pitches to the FIRST session. Students should be prepared to devote time outside of class to completing new writing assignments for every session. The class will end with each student receiving individual feedback from the instructor on their own sketch packet. ------ Learning Outcomes: Show Structure: Students will learn to write for a sketch show's format. Collaboration: Students will learn how to build and refine their creative peers.
