Master Class with Marilyn Carlisle

We are so excited to start our Master Class Series with our very special guest, Marilyn Carlisle! Marilyn will be taking over the class on July 13th to talk about breaking into film acting. Sign up while space is available. 

A graduate of the University of Florida, College of  Veterinary Medicine, Marilyn Carlisle began her acting career in 2009. She embraced the opportunity to explore a new adventure after being approached by a classmate in Pilates class about modeling and obtained agency representation.  

Her professional training began with studying the Uta  Hagen Method by taking weekly classes with Marc Durso  (Act True). She soon found steady work as a featured background artist on the A&E hit The Glades for four seasons while continuing to practice veterinary medicine part-time.  Marilyn continued her training taking workshops across the country with casting directors and instructors, including master coach and actor Timothy O’Keefe. 

Marilyn has gone on to book principal roles in National,  International, and local commercials, most notably AXA  Insurance, Dunkin’ Donuts, Prudential Retirement, and Holy  Cross Hospital. She has played roles in award-winning Independent films and appeared in the Lifetime movie  Girlfriend Killer. In addition to numerous infomercials, she has also hosted a Nationally televised brand showcase, voice-acted in a video game, and modeled for luxury resorts and casinos.  

She enjoys mentoring emerging talent in her class Street  Smarts for Actors while continuing to audition and seek out new projects.
